Equity in access

There was a clear referrals process in place and patients had access to the required healthcare services.

Mental Health

At the last assessment we found that there were delays for some patients receiving their initial mental health assessment. During this assessment, we found that patients had been referred to other services promptly which ensured their treatment needs could be met without unnecessary delay.

Inpatient unit

At the last assessment we found patients on the inpatient unit did not always have their physical health and social care needs met promptly. For example, there were long delays in making a social care and/ or physiotherapy referrals. During this assessment, we found that referrals were made promptly which meant that patients' received the care and support they required.
