Our view of the service

Date of Assessment: 24 April 2025. Victoria Infirmary minor injuries unit is a nurse led service and care is provided by a team of Emergency Nurse Practitioners. The service covers Northwich and surrounding areas from 9am to 8pm, seven days a week under a contract held with NHS England. Approximately 65 patients are seen each day for minor cuts or wounds, minor head injuries, limb injuries, eye injuries, foreign bodies in the eyes, nose and ears, minor burns and scalds, and animal or human bites.

People's experience of this service

People were positive about the quality of their care and treatment. Recent NHS Friends and Family Test results showed people were satisfied with services. We received positive feedback from patients who had used the service. People told us they were seen quickly, and staff were supportive and kind. The one concern people fed back was due to ongoing building work at the trust, the number of car parking spaces had reduced.
