Surgery services are provided by University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust at both the Poole Hospital and the Royal Bournemouth Hospital locations. The trust was created on 1 October 2020 following a process of merger of the The Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch NHS Foundation Trust and Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to form a new provider University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust.
