Kindness, compassion and dignity
Staff treated patients with kindness, respect and compassion. We observed positive interactions between staff and patients both in person and on the telephone. Staff displayed an understanding of patients’ needs and showed warmth and compassion to patients.
In addition to the feedback we received, we reviewed 20 patient feedback forms from a survey conducted in July. Feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. Staff were described as friendly, welcoming and helpful.
All respondents reported waiting less than 5 minutes for their appointments, felt treatment options were explained, and would recommend the practice.
Patient comments included that staff were welcoming and attentive, acted with integrity, and showed compassion.
Patients said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate.
Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected.
People received care from staff who were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights, and of the importance of privacy and confidentiality.
Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles, and their wellbeing was supported. The provider hosted an annual barbeque and team bonding days 3 times per year. Staff birthdays were also celebrated as a team.
