Our view of the service
We assessed the Barnsley service on 4 September 2025 as it had not been previously assessed. Our on-site assessment was short-term announced. We assessed 33 quality statements from the safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led key questions to inform the rating.
During this assessment we spoke to the manager and company founder; a consultant nurse and healthcare assistant (HCA) as well as service users. We reviewed eight care records, latest policies and all other available documentation.
At this assessment we identified breaches of regulations in relation to safe care and treatment, premises and equipment, and good governance. The service had made no improvements since the last inspection and only partially met one previous breach.
People's experience of this service
We spoke to ten patients and observed two varicose vein procedures: one laser and one foam.
Patients told us they felt safe and trusted the registered manager (RM) to uphold safe practice. They told us staff offered them emotional support if needed. For example, staff reassured and comforted a patient who was very nervous after their first procedure.
Patients said staff considered and were very responsive to their individual needs. For example, immediately after the patient identified a blood clot post treatment, the RM arranged a follow up appointment at short notice.
Patients told us staff made them comfortable and supported to raise any questions and staff were considerate, explained everything clearly and did not hurry or pressure them into having treatment.
