Our view of the service
Date of Assessment: 18 March 2025 to 4 April 2025. This assessment was in response to CQC receiving information of concern. The service is registered to provide personal care to older people living in their own homes. The provider’s governance systems were not effective in ensuring actions were taken to make improvements to the service. Medicines were not always managed effectively, and improvements were needed to the detail included in some care plans.
However, staff were recruited safely and received training. They understood how to recognise the signs of abuse and prevent the spread of infection. Staff were king and caring and promoted people’s independence. The service was responsive to people’s immediate needs and there were systems in place to ensure people had access to the service. The provider was in breach of the legal regulations relating to governance systems. We have asked the provider for an action plan in response to the concerns found at this assessment.
