Our view of the service
We carried out this unannounced focused on-site inspection on 2 March 2026.
We found the practice had met regulations.
The practice had systems in place to identify and manage risks, including those relating to infection prevention and control.
Improvements should be made to ensure that when things go wrong, reporting procedures were effective and applied consistently.
Staff had the skills, knowledge and experience to carry out their roles.
Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.
Market Place Family Dental Centre is part of Nationwide Healthcare Providers Limited, a dental group provider. The practice is in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
There was step-free access to the practice and car parking spaces available in local car parks.
The practice had 13 treatment rooms. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 27 staff, we gathered feedback from staff and spoke with 2 dental nurses, 1 dentist, and 2 group clinical quality and care managers.
We did not ask for any direct patient feedback during this inspection. On-line reviews showed the practice generally receives positive feedback, with patients praising the staff and clinicians. Patients describe the team as kind and efficient, though some have reported occasional delays in waiting times.
