Regulations met

Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice.

Patient comments included that staff were welcoming and attentive, acted with integrity, and showed compassion.

Patients said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate.

Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected.

Staff treated patients with kindness, respect and compassion. We observed positive interactions between staff and patients both in person and on the telephone. Staff showed warmth and compassion and spent time chatting to all patients. The atmosphere at the practice was relaxed and friendly.

During this inspection, we saw patients bringing Christmas gifts to staff at the practice. We were told that the practice received a lot of thank you cards and positive feedback from patients.

We were told that patients received a pre and post treatment questionnaire. We saw that a quick response (QR) code was available on reception for patients to scan to enable them to leave an online review. At the time of writing this report the practice had received 4.9 out of 5 stars from 196 online reviews and had responded to patients who had left reviews.

People received care from staff who were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights, and of the importance of privacy and confidentiality.

Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles, and their wellbeing was supported. One member of staff told us, “it is an excellent practice I am proud to work for,” we were also told, “I feel like my work is appreciated and recognised and I have support when needed,” and “there are well established processes and workflows. Patient satisfaction is at the core of our motivation.”
