Our view of the service

We carried out this announced on-site inspection on 25 August 2026.

We found the practice had met regulations.

Staff had the skills, knowledge and experience to carry out their roles.

Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.

Staff provided care and treatment in line with current guidance. They treated patients with dignity and respect and ensured access to care, support, and treatment when required.

The practice had effective systems to identify and manage most risks, including infection prevention and control. However, the practice should ensure all substances hazardous to health have been risk assessed.

Improvements should be made to the systems to review, investigate and document incidents and accidents.

Roe Street Dental Practice is in Macclesfield and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children.

The practice is accessed via steps to the front of the building, and the treatment rooms were located on the first floor which is accessed by stairs. Access is not available for those who use wheelchairs. Car parking spaces were available near the practice.

The practice had 3 treatment rooms. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 15 staff. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection, including 1 dentist, 1 dental nurse and the practice manager.
