Kindness, compassion and dignity

Regulations met

We spoke with 1 patient and reviewed additional patient feedback we received.

Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice.

Patient comments included that staff were welcoming and attentive, acted with integrity, and showed compassion.

Patients said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate. In particular, patients commented on the communication from the practice. Courtesy calls were made before and after treatment to ensure patients were happy and answer any queries or concerns.

Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected. The clinicians took a holistic approach to patient centred care in relation to treatment planning and consent. We were shown examples of treatment plans and communication with patients where staff had specifically tailored the treatment and communication to the patients’ individual needs. Patient feedback also confirmed this.

We were provided with a patient survey from August 2024. Of 285 responders, 91% said it was very easy to schedule an appointment, 98% described the friendliness and professionalism of the front desk staff as excellent, and 100% described the cleanliness of the waiting area and treatment areas as excellent. Overall, 98% said they would recommend the practice to friends and family.

People received care from staff who were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights, and of the importance of privacy and confidentiality.

Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles, and their wellbeing was supported.

The premises were well presented and patients commented on the pleasant design and layout of the facilities, including original artworks from local and international artists which were prominently displayed throughout the practice in collaboration with a local art gallery.
