We saw that staff treated patients with kindness, respect and compassion. We observed positive interactions between staff and patients both in person and on the telephone. Staff displayed an understanding of patients’ needs and showed warmth and compassion to all patients.

Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice.

Patient comments included that staff were welcoming and attentive, acted with integrity, and showed compassion.

Patients said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate. One online review recorded, “Staff always friendly and polite. Treatment thorough and professional with explanations throughout of what they are doing and putting you at ease. I would have no hesitation recommending the practice to others.”

Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected.

We were provided with a patient survey. All 8 respondents to the practice’s patient survey responded positively. The survey was ongoing and we were told that the results of the survey would be shared with staff. At the time of writing this report the practice had received 5 out of 5 stars from 121 online reviews.

A suggestions box was available at the practice for patients to leave comments or suggestions.

People received care from staff who were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights, and of the importance of privacy and confidentiality.

Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles, and their wellbeing was supported.
