Care Quality Services Brighton and Hove is a domiciliary care agency providing personal care to people living in their own homes. CQC only inspects where people are receiving the regulated activity personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. At the time of this inspection 115 people were receiving support with personal care. This assessment was undertaken due to the age of the services rating. We had also received some information of concern regarding the cleanliness of people’s properties and their needs not being robustly met, especially around continence care. We did not find any evidence of poor practice during this assessment.

People were supported by staff who knew them well. People’s care plans were person centred to reflect their needs and wishes. Regular care reviews were undertaken and relatives involved in this process where appropriate. Risks were robustly managed using innovative technology to assist with this.
