Caring
We looked for evidence the service involved people and treated them with compassion,kindness,dignity and respect. At our last assessment, we rated this key question as good. At this assessment, the rating remains the same.

Kindness, compassion and dignity
The service had arrangements to promote people’s privacy with privacy curtains in each consultation room and access to a private room if required. The service performed better than both local and national averages in the results of the 2025 National GP Patient Survey. This showed people felt listened to and felt they were treated with kindness. For example, 95% of respondents to the survey stated that during their last appointment, the healthcare professional was very good or fairly good at listening to them, compared with 86% nationally. Staff treated people with kindness, empathy and compassion and respected their privacy and dignity. Results from the National GP Patient Survey indicated that 95% of patients considered that at their last appointment, the healthcare professional was very good or fairly good at treating them with care and concern, compared to 85% nationally. Observation of staff including staff interviews indicated that staff were caring, compassionate and treated people with dignity and respect. Staff displayed understanding and a non-judgmental attitude towards people.
People who used the service were given the opportunity to give feedback to CQC on their care and experiences via a link sent to patients as a text message. We received feedback from 11 people and 100% were positive about how the service was meeting and had met their needs. Results from the National GP Patient Survey indicated that 93%felt the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to was good at listening to them during their last general practice appointment, compared to 86% nationally.
