Our view of the service
Nettleham Medical Practice delivered services to 12,155 patients at 2 locations, Nettleham and Cherry Willingham under a contract held with NHS England. We carried out an assessment of this practice on 11 August 2026 as part of our ongoing assessment programme of providers rated requires improvement with breaches of regulation, Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014.
The National General Practice Profiles states that the ethnic make-up of the practice area is 95.4% white, 1.4% mixed, 2.2% Asian, 0.5% black and other 0.5%. The age distribution of the practice shows a higher-than-average older population and lower than average younger population. Information published by Office for Health Improvement and Disparities shows that deprivation within the practice population group is in the 10th decile (10 of 10). The lower the decile, the more deprived the practice population is relative to others. This assessment considered the demographics of the people using the service, the context the service was working within and how this impacted service delivery. Where relevant, further commentary is provided in the quality statements section of this report.
The provider was last inspected in September 2023 where breaches were found in relation to:
Regulation 17 HSCA (RA) Regulations 2014 Good governance
The provider did not have effective systems and processes to ensure good governance in accordance with the fundamental standards of care.
Regulation 12 CQC (Registration) Regulations 2009 Safe care and treatment
