Kindness, compassion and dignity
Patients feedback demonstrated staff treated people with kindness, empathy and compassion and respected their privacy and dignity.
The service performed above the national average in the results of the 2025 National GP Patient Survey. This showed people felt listened to and felt they were treated with kindness. For example, 93% of respondents to the survey felt the healthcare professional at their last appointment treated them with care and concern, compared with a local average of 81% and a national average of 86%. Additionally, 93% of respondents reported staff listened to them and they had confidence and trust in the healthcare professional they spoke to, which were above both the local and national averages.
The Friends and Family survey (FFT) from 2025 to 2026 which showed very positive feedback, with most patients rating the service as very good (83%) or good (11%). The practice shared and discussed themes from the patients’ comments with all staff. Staff identified there were smaller numbers of patients who did not have a positive experience and the practice took action to address these.
We spoke with 2 members of the patient participation group who provided positive feedback. CQC received 72 responses from people who shared their experience of care – (Give Feedback on Care) and 68 responses were positive. Patient comments made were that staff were kind, professional and compassionate. People who left negative feedback felt that the service needed to improve their communication with patients.
The service had arrangements to promote people’s privacy and provided chaperones.
