Our view of the service

Date of Assessment: 17 September 2025

Lighthouse Group Practice is a GP practice that delivers service to approximately 13,000 people under a contract held with NHS England. Information published by Office for Health Improvement and Disparities shows that deprivation in the service population group is in the 2nd decile (2 out of 10). The lower the decile, the more deprived the service population is relative to others. This assessment considered the demographics of the people using the service, the context the service was working in and how this impacted delivery. Where relevant, further commentary is provided in the quality statements section of this report.

This assessment covered two quality statements within the Safe and Well-led key questions. Since the last inspection, the service had made improvements and is no longer in breach of the legal regulation of good governance.

Following our last inspection, the service had implemented a series of actions to address concerns about recruitment processes, clinical supervision, and governance arrangements. These included the introduction of structured and documented supervision for healthcare professionals, a comprehensive audit of staff files to ensure Schedule 3 compliance, and improved oversight of mandatory training and competency records. Clear reporting and monitoring structures had been embedded, which enabled leaders to maintain effective oversight of staffing, recruitment and governance.
