Our view of the service

Date of Assessment: 21 October 2025 to 23 October 2025. Church Lane Medical Centre is a GP practice and delivers service to 10,688 patients under a contract held with NHS England. The National General Practice Profiles states that 88.56% of patients are White, 7.47% Asian, 0.84% Black, 1.45% Mixed and 1.67% Other. Information published by Office for Health Improvement and Disparities shows that deprivation within the practice population group is in the 4th decile (4 of 10). The lower the decile, the more deprived the practice population is relative to others. This assessment considered the demographics of the people using the service, the context the service was working within and how this impacted service delivery. People's experience of this service

People were positive about the quality of their care and treatment. Recent survey results, including from the NHS Friends and Family Test and the National GP Patient Survey, showed people were highly satisfied with services with 99% of patients stating they had confidence and trust in the last healthcare professional they saw or spoke with (national average 92.5%). Feedback from the NHS Friends and Family Test has remained consistently positive, with an average of 84.7% of over 300 monthly respondents rating the service as ‘very good’. There was an active Patient Participation Group (PPG) who represented the views of people using the service. Representatives from the PPG described how managers made positive changes because of feedback, such as implementing a new appointment system.
