Kindness, compassion and dignity
The practice always treated people with kindness, empathy and compassion and respected their privacy and dignity. Staff treated colleagues from other organisations with kindness and respect.
The practice had arrangements in place to promote people's privacy and dignity. Reception staff could speak with patients away from the reception desk if a confidential conversation was required and consultation rooms were positioned to maintain confidentiality. The practice also provided access to interpreting services, British Sign Language (BSL) support and a hearing loop for patients who required additional communication support.
The practice maintained a carers register to help identify and support patients with additional needs. Staff we spoke with described a positive working environment and told us they felt listened to and supported by leaders.
Results from the 2026 National GP Patient Survey were generally in line with local and national averages. For example,81% of patients said the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to was good at treating them with care and concern, compared with the national average of 86%. In addition, 84% of patients said the healthcare professional was good at listening to them, compared with the national average of 87%.
