Our view of the service

Date of Assessment: 20 August to 21 August 2025. Belmont Medical Centre is a GP practice located in Herefordshire. Belmont Medical Centre delivers services to around 9,700 patients under a contract held with NHS England. The provider is registered with CQC to deliver the following Regulated Activities: Diagnostic and screening procedures; Family planning; Maternity and midwifery services; Treatment of disease, disorder or injury; and Surgical procedures.

The National General Practice Profiles states that the ethnic make-up of the practice area is 96.27% White, 1.35% Mixed Ethnicities, 1.25% Asian, 0.42% Black and 1.35% Other Ethnicities. Information published by Office for Health Improvement and Disparities shows that deprivation within the practice population group is in the 5th decile (5 out of 10). The lower the decile, the more deprived the practice population is relative to others. We carried out a comprehensive inspection and rated the practice Good in all key domains and Good overall.

People's experience of this service

The practice pro-actively encouraged people to give feedback and used feedback from people who used the service to make improvements. Feedback we reviewed, such as data shared from the NHS ‘Friends and Family Test’ showed that the vast majority of patient experience about the practice was positive. The results of the National GP Patient Survey found 62% of patients described their experience of contacting Belmont Medical Centre as ‘Good’ which was in line with the local average and above the national average of 53%. 86% of patients reported the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to was good at treating them with care and concern during their last general practice appointment. 88% of patients reported the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to was good at listening to them during their last general practice appointment. 84% of patients found the reception and administrative team at Belmont Medical Centre helpful.
