The service did not always treat people with kindness, empathy and compassion, or respect their privacy and dignity.

The service did not have adequate arrangements to promote people’s privacy. Patient information was stored in an unlocked room accessible to anyone in the building. The service scored below average for the majority of the results of the 2026 National GP Patient Survey. This showed 74% of people felt the healthcare professional was good at treating them with care and concern, compared to the national average of 87%, and 64% said the reception and administrative team were helpful, compared to the national average of 85%.

There was a record of only 2 staff members being trained in the Mental Capacity Act. There were no records in relation to training in learning disability and autism, including the Oliver McGowan code of practice. The practice manager confirmed that this was not on the list of training they had asked any staff to complete, and as far as they were aware none had completed this. This is a statutory requirement for providers registered with the Care Quality Commission.
