Caring
We looked for evidence the service involved people and treated them with compassion, kindness, dignity and respect. At our last assessment, we rated this key question as Good. At this assessment, the rating remains the same.

Kindness, compassion and dignity
The results of the 2026 National GP Patient Survey showed, 70% of respondents said the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to was good at listening to them during their last appointment, which was below the local average of 83% and the national average of 87%. A total of 69% of respondents said the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to was good at treating them with care and concern during their last general practice appointment, which was below the local average of 82% and the national average of 86%.
Staff and leaders told us they would respond to people’s needs quickly and efficiently. The leader’s explained patients were signposted to social prescribers and information on disabilities, women's health, and wellbeing support groups was available on the service website and on posters in the waiting room. Where language barriers existed, interpretation services were available, and longer appointments were offered when needed.
