Our view of the service

Date of Assessment: 28 August 2025 to 29 August 2025. The Medical Centre is a GP practice which is part of Petroc Group Practice. The group consists of 2 locations each with 1 branch site. Management functions and staff are shared across both locations and branch sites; and delivers services to approximately 16,400 patients under a contract held with NHS England. The National General Service Profiles states that 97% of patients identify as white, with 3% identifying as Asian, Black, Mixed, or Other. Information published by Office for Health Improvement and Disparities shows that deprivation within the practice population group is in the 6 decile (6 of 10). The lower the decile, the more deprived the service population is relative to others. This assessment considered the demographics of the people using the service, the context the service was working within and how this impacted service delivery. Where relevant, further commentary is provided in the quality statements section of this report.
