Kindness, compassion and dignity
The service treated people with kindness, empathy and compassion and respected their privacy and dignity.
Results from the 2026 National GP Patient Survey showed the service performed at the national average. Survey findings showed people felt listened to and reported being treated with kindness. For example, 89% of respondents to the survey felt the healthcare professional at their last appointment was good at treating them with care and concern, compared to the national average of 88%.
We received 12 comments from people using the service for this assessment. People described the team as ‘kind’, ‘supportive’, and ‘understanding’, and several commented that their concerns were taken seriously and the clinicians always listened to them without rushing. We also received feedback from care home managers who said that the GPs treated people using their services with kindness and compassion. For example, one manager reported that the doctors were always willing to give advice either by telephone or face to face and were happy to speak to relatives when required.
All staff we spoke with said they were committed to providing a caring service. Staff consistently told us that the GP partners led by example, demonstrating caring behaviours in their daily interactions with staff and people using the service.
The service had arrangements to promote people’s privacy.
