Caring
We looked for evidence the service involved people and treated them with compassion, kindness, dignity and respect. At our last assessment, we rated this key question as good. At this assessment, the rating remains the same.

Kindness, compassion and dignity
The service always treated people with kindness, empathy and compassion and respected their privacy and dignity. Staff treated colleagues from other organisations with kindness and respect.
Results from the 2026 GP Patient Survey demonstrated positive patient experiences. For example, 88% of respondents reported that the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to was good or very good at treating them with care and concern, compared with the national average of 86%. In addition, 87% of respondents reported that the healthcare professional was good at listening to them, in line with the national average of 87%.
Survey results also showed that 92% of respondents had confidence and trust in the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to, compared with the national average of 91%. Overall experience of the practice was positive, with 79% of respondents reporting a positive experience compared to the national average of 77%.
The service had arrangements to support privacy and confidentiality. Consultation rooms supported private discussions and systems were in place to ensure patient information was handled appropriately. Staff demonstrated a caring and respectful approach to people using the service.
