Our view of the service
Date of Assessment: 19 to 21 May 2025.
Friarsgate Practice is a GP practice that delivers service to 25,000 patients under a contract held with NHS England. The National General Practice Profiles states that the practice has a higher than average number of patients aged over 60. Information published by Office for Health Improvement and Disparities shows that deprivation in the practice population group is in the 10th decile (10 out of 10). The lower the decile, the more deprived the practice population is relative to others. This assessment considered the demographics of the people using the practice, the context the practice was working in and how this impacted service delivery. Where relevant, further commentary is provided in the quality statements section of this report.
This assessment covered four evidence categories within the Safe, Effective and Well-led key questions.
At this inspection, the practice had made improvements and was no longer in breach of regulations 12 and 17. Since the last inspection the practice had introduced improvements to their governance processes for monitoring medicines and national safety alerts.
