This assessment considered the demographics of the people using the service, the context the service was working within and how this impacted service delivery. We identified breaches of legal regulations relating to staffing, premises and equipment, and good governance. We have issued the provider with warning notices in response to concerns found at this assessment.
People's experience of this service
CQC received 155 responses through Give Feedback on Care relating to access, quality of care and treatment. Feedback was mixed, with just under half of respondents providing negative comments. This was supported by the National GP Patient Survey results, which were below local and national averages in several areas. The provider had not effectively analysed the GP patient survey to identify themes, drive learning or support continuous improvement. Although the practice had an active Patient Participation Group (PPG), its membership was not fully representative of the wider patient population. However, we also received a significant amount of positive feedback about the practice, including numerous thank-you cards and compliments regarding the care and support provided by staff.
