This service scored 75 (out of 100) for this area. Find out what we look at when we assess this area and How we calculate these scores.
Kindness, compassion and dignity
The service always treated people with kindness, empathy and compassion and respected their privacy and dignity. Staff treated colleagues from other organisations with kindness and respect and were able to share examples of how they promoted privacy and dignity in their work.
The service had arrangements to promote people’s privacy. The service performed better than national averages in the results of the National GP Patient 2025 Survey. This showed people felt listened to and felt they were treated with kindness. For example, 93% of respondents said the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to was good at treating them with care and concern during their last general practice appointment, this was above the national average of 86%. The National GP Patient 2026 survey data showed sustained improvements. In addition to reception staff being helpful. This was reflective in feedback from a local survey undertaken by the practice where staff were described as “supportive”, “welcoming” and “approachable”.
In preparation for this assessment, CQC received feedback from 18 patients through our Give Feedback on Care service. Feedback showed that people felt the practice provided excellent overall care and clinical quality. People consistently described the care they had received as “excellent” and “amazing”. People told us staff across all roles were compassionate and caring and comments repeatedly highlighted that staff listened, showed empathy, provided reassurance, and did not rush consultations. People praised clinical staff for their professionalism, empathy, and listening skills and described them as “exceptional”. Reception and administrative staff were described as polite, respectful, helpful and patient-focused.
