Our view of the service
Date of Assessment: 30 September and 6 November. Dr Rajiv Goel also known as The Riverside Practice is a GP practice and delivers services to 5,247 under a contract held with NHS England. The National General Practice Profiles states that the practice ethnicity estimate is 6.2% Mixed, 13.7% Asian, 22.9% Black, 8.9% Other. Information published by Office for Health Improvement and Disparities shows that deprivation within the practice population group is in the second most deprived decile (2 of 10). The lower the decile, the more deprived the practice population is relative to others. This assessment considered the demographics of the people using the service, the context the service was working within and how this impacted service delivery. We assessed 33 quality statements across the five key questions: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well-led. The assessment comprised a remote assessment on 30 September, a site visit on 1 October, and a remote clinical assessment on 6 November 2025.
This service has been rated good overall and in each key question.
People's experience of this service
People were positive about the quality of their care and treatment. Recent survey results, including the national GP Patient Survey, indicated high levels of satisfaction with the service. There was an active patient participation group (PPG) who represented the views of people using the service. A representative described how the provider made positive changes in response to feedback and confirmed that the service was committed to developing the PPG further.
