Our view of the service

We carried out this assessment between 29 May and 4 June 2026. All About Care is a care at home agency that provides personal care to people living in their own homes. CQC only inspects where people are receiving the regulated activity personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we consider any wider social care provided.

At the time of this inspection 17 people were receiving support with personal care. This service had a registered manager in place.

People felt safe, with reliable visits, no missed calls, and consistent care from a regular team of staff. Risks were managed appropriately, and people and relatives were confident they could raise concerns and access support when needed.

Staff demonstrated a good understanding of people’s individual needs, preferences and routines. Care plans were detailed and supported the delivery of personalised care, enabling people to achieve positive outcomes and maintain their independence. Staff worked collaboratively with relatives and professionals to ensure coordinated and consistent care.

People described staff described as kind, respectful and compassionate. People felt treated with dignity and valued as individuals, and staff took time to provide emotional support and build meaningful relationships. Many relatives described staff as “like family,” reflecting the strong, trusting relationships developed.

The service was responsive to people’s needs, with care delivered flexibly and adapted to changes in people’s circumstances. People and their relatives felt listened to, involved in decisions, and confident that feedback would be acted upon. Continuity of care was promoted. People were supported by regular staff.

The service was well-led, with a positive and person-centred culture driven by a visible and supportive provider who was also the registered manager. Staff felt valued, supported and able to speak up, contributing to a culture of openness and continuous improvement. Effective governance systems were in place to monitor quality, gather feedback and drive improvements, and the provider worked well with partners to ensure coordinated care.

People's experience of this service

Feedback from people using the service and their relatives was positive. They consistently described the service as safe, responsive and well-managed. People described carers as kind, respectful, and attentive. People felt cared for by a regular team of carers who understood their preferences, routines, and personal needs, which helped build positive relationships and continuity of care.

People felt safe and reassured by the consistency of care and clear communication from the management team. The registered manager was described as approachable and proactive. Relatives also confirmed they were kept fully involved in decisions about care, with care delivered in line with people’s wishes and preferences.

Carers were frequently described as, “pleasant”, “lovely”, and “like family.” Feedback highlighted their caring approach, good communication, and ability to engage people positively. People appreciated that carers took time to chat, provide emotional support, and carry out personalised tasks that maintained comfort and dignity.

People expressed gratitude for the high standard of care provided.People and their families were satisfied with the care provided. They described the service as reliable, caring, and person-centred, with many stating they would recommend it to others.
