Our view of the service
Date of assessment: 3 December 2025 to 8 January 2026
Lima Homecare Ltd is a domiciliary care agency providing personal care to adults living in their own homes, to support them to live as independently as possible. CQC only inspects services where people receive the regulated activity of personal care. At the time of this assessment, 135 people were receiving support with personal care.
The service had systems in place to manage risks and promote safety, including safeguarding processes, incident reporting, medicines audits, staff training and regular supervision. People’s care plans were person-centred and accessible to staff through an electronic care planning system. Professionals described effective partnership working, timely escalation of concerns and clear documentation.
Governance arrangements were robust and included regular quality meetings, audits and a live service improvement plan. Leaders were open about challenges relating to continuity of care and had begun implementing actions to address this, including geographical staff groupings and increased monitoring. Overall, the service delivered good, safe and person-centred care and demonstrated a commitment to learning and improvement.
People's experience of this service
Feedback from people and relatives was largely positive and consistent. People told us staff were kind, caring, professional and respectful, and many said they felt safe when supported by regular carers who knew them well. Several people spoke positively about the management of the service and said they would recommend it to others. Overall, people told us the service helped them to live safely and independently in the way they preferred.
Where concerns were raised, these most often related to variability in visit times and continuity of carers rather than the quality of care provided. People told us they valued consistent support and familiar staff. People and, where appropriate, their relatives could view care plans through the electronic system, which supported transparency and involvement in care.
