Our view of the service

We carried out this inspection from 28 July 2026 to 16 August 2026. The service is a dual-registered location. This means 2 registered providers are responsible for the service delivery at this home. The registered providers, are both equally responsible for the delivery of all services at this home. The service is a care home with nursing, providing support to younger and older adults, some of whom live with dementia, physical disabilities and mental health needs. At the time of the inspection there were 71 people living in the home.

The provider promoted a positive culture and supported people to live safe, meaningful and fulfilling lives. Risks were managed safely, people were protected from abuse, and medicines were managed appropriately. Staff worked well with healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care and support.

People's needs were assessed and reviewed regularly, and care was personalised and delivered in line with good practice guidance. Staff knew people well and supported them to maintain independence, pursue interests and stay connected with family, friends and their local community.

People were treated with kindness, dignity and respect. Staff promoted choice and control and delivered person-centred care that reflected people's preferences and wishes.

Leaders were visible and approachable and promoted a culture of openness and continuous improvement. Staff felt supported, and feedback was encouraged and acted on. Governance systems were generally effective, and leaders took prompt action to strengthen oversight where improvements were identified.

The provider worked effectively with partner organisations and maintained strong community links. End-of-life care was a particular strength of the service, ensuring people received compassionate care that reflected their wishes and preferences.
