We found this practice was providing well-led care in accordance with the relevant regulations and had taken into consideration appropriate guidance.

Staff and leaders told us of the systems in place to manage risks for patients, staff, equipment and the premises.

At the inspection on 14 July 2026 we found the practice had made the following improvements to comply with the regulations:

Staff described the systems in place to manage the risks associated with fire. A new fire risk assessment had been carried out in May 2026. Recommendations from this risk assessment and the previous risk assessment had been actioned including the installation of fire doors, carrying out fire drills, completing risk assessments of hazardous substances, installing a carbon monoxide monitor and ensuring fire signage complies with current legislation. However, there was an outstanding advisory in relation to the re-location of fire fighting equipment to the back door exit which had not been actioned. We discussed this with staff and were assured it would be addressed and rectified.

We saw satisfactory evidence of servicing of the fire detection and fire fighting equipment. Remedial action was also arranged to be carried out on the emergency lighting system to ensure it can be effectively tested.

Staff described the processes they had in place to ensure fire safety measures remain effective. This included the regular testing of fire alarm system, checks on fire extinguishers and emergency exits. We were also told that fire drills would be carried out on a regular basis and more frequently if there had been a change in staff. Staff had also completed fire awareness training as part of their induction and ongoing training requirements.
