Our view of the service

Date of assessment; 27 April to 13 May 2026.

Trinity Home care is a care at home service providing support to people in their own homes. At the time of our assessment the service was supporting 39 people with personal care.

We undertook this assessment due to the time since our last inspection. This was a comprehensive assessment covering all quality statements.

Trinity Homecare offered a flexible personalised service to people. People and their families were supported by the service to access additional help and support through community events, webinars, leaflets, referrals and through partnership working and other support services. All staff working for the provider including the senior management team demonstrated the provider’s values of providing compassionate care with a positive culture of honesty and integrity, providing accessible, person-centred care that supported people to remain safely at home for as long as possible.

People were supported by staff who received training, supervision, and competency reviews to ensure they were providing care and support safely. The provider completed recruitment checks prior to staff supporting people. Some staff also required refresher training in certain courses. The provider had identified this within the provider’s training matrix.

People’s care plans were person centred and contained important information about the person, such as if they had a religion and any nutritional or hydration needs. However, some improvements were needed to ensure people had a diabetic care plan and risk assessment and comprehensive information on topical cream application and any environmental risks where topical emollients might pose a fire risk.

All people, their families and staff felt the care provided was of a good quality. Staff felt supported and it was a nice place to work. The provider sought feedback from people and staff, and this was an opportunity to identify and implement any improvements to the care and services provided.

People were supported by staff who knew them well. The provider and registered manager provided staff with a flexible approach that recognised staff individuality and their personal circumstances whilst ensuring the Equality Act 2010 was adhered to.

The provider had a system in place to learn from incidents, accidents and complaints so any improvements could be made to people’s care and support. All people felt able to raise any concerns with the office if needed.

People's experience of this service

People and their relatives felt the care and support provided by the service was very good. Comments from people included, “Very good,” “Excellent” and “Brilliant”. Relatives told us, They’re so lovely, kind, caring and extremely respectful” and “I must say all of the staff are very nice people.”

People felt the care provided respected their choice and privacy and was provided to them safely. One person told us, “Staff are respectful, supportive and they give choice and privacy.” Another person told us, “They do a marvellous job.” Another person told us, “They are amazing and they give me choice.”

Care was provided to people flexibly and if and when their needs changed and all felt able to call the office and raise any concerns if needed with the management of the service. They were supported with a consistent staff team who promoted their independence and wishes, although some people felt there were on occasions a language barrier with some staff.
