Our view of the service
We carried out this announced on-site inspection on 1 May 2025.
We found the practice had not met all regulations.
There was ineffective leadership and oversight of the practice.
Safeguarding processes were in place but the provider had not ensured the designated safeguarding lead knew their role and responsibilities.
The practice did not have effective systems to identify and manage risks.
The practice did not have effective systems to review and investigate incidents and accidents.
Infection control procedures should be reviewed to ensure they are effective.
Recruitment procedures did not reflect current legislation.
However, patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance.
Patients were treated with dignity and respect and at the time of our inspection, could access care, support and treatment when required.
Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice.
The practice is in Leeds city centre and provides private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
There was step-free access to the practice and car parking spaces available, including dedicated parking for disabled people, near the practice.
The practice had 2 treatment rooms.At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 18 staff, of which there were 3 dentists, 1 dental hygienist, 3 dental nurses (two of whom were trainees), 1 receptionist, 1 administrator, 5 support staff and the practice manager. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection, including 2 dentists, 3 dental nurses, 1 receptionist and the practice manager.
