Our view of the service

Date of assessment: 26 August 2025 to 5 September 2025. Lloyds Care Group Ltd is a domiciliary care service providing support to people of any age including those living with dementia living in their own homes. At the time of the assessment, the service was supporting 54 people with their personal care needs.

Lloyds Care Group Ltd was last rated requires improvement (published 1 June 2019).

We found 2 breaches of legal regulations in relation to safe care and treatment and good governance. Care plans and risk assessment lacked specific detail and guidance for staff about people’s individual health conditions and the level of support they needed. Medicine management and administration was not always done safely. Where people received support with medicines staff did not always document this and time specific medicines were not always given in line with the prescribers directions which placed people at the risk of harm. Quality monitoring processes completed did not highlight all of the concerns found on the assessment, whilst some issues had been identified, the provider had failed to put actions in place to mitigate risks and make improvements or monitor progress.

In instances where CQC have decided to take civil or criminal enforcement action against a provider, we will publish this information on our website after any representations and/ or appeals have been concluded.

People's experience of this service

People and their relatives told us they received good care from staff which made them feel safe. People told us they were involved in their care planning but people and their relative said they had not seen a copy of the care plan so could not confirm whether this matched people’s needs or wishes. People were supported by a consistent team of staff who visited them regularly and knew their needs well. People said they were contacted if staff were running late and most people said it was rare that staff arrived late. Everyone we spoke with knew how to raise a concern or complaint and were confident the management team would respond.
