The governance of medicines management was not adequate. Mental health governance had improved and there was effective oversight, which included task management ensuring there was a full staffing complement.

Governance, management and sustainability
At our previous inspection we found that there were concerns with medicine management and although some areas had improved during this inspection, we found that the governance remained inadequate and had not identified concerns.
At our previous inspection we found that there were concerns around governance within the mental health service. During this inspection we found that there was now effective oversight and robust data to help ensure timely assessments.
At our previous inspection we found that the mental health service action plan did not include timebound actions or reflect findings from the previous inspection.
At this inspection, we found that the mental health service action plan contained clear actions, defined timescales and target completion dates. The provider was also able to demonstrate ongoing monitoring of compliance, including oversight of progress against actions and regular review of implementation. This provided assurance that improvements were being tracked and managed effectively.
At our previous inspection staffing deficits were not recognised as a risk. At this inspection we found that the mental health team was now fully staffed and there had been no reported incidents of having insufficient staff.
