Staff treated patients with kindness, respect and compassion. We observed positive interactions between staff and patients both in person and on the telephone. Staff displayed an understanding of patients’ needs and showed warmth and compassion to patients.
Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice.
Patient comments included that staff were welcoming and attentive, acted with integrity, and showed compassion.
One patient said, “Very caring and gentle dentist. [Dentist] really helped me after a bad experience elsewhere.”
Patients said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate.
Another told us, “Croft dental practise in Essex was such a pleasant experience having had very negative and painful dental check-ups in the past. The dentist was professional and extremely patient with all my anxieties and worries. I needed a filling which they did pain free compared to the traumatic past ones. They gave me the time I needed to feel at ease providing the same day treatment. Genuinely I have never received such good care from a dentist, I was extremely impressed by his ability to keep me calm and perform a filling with no pain especially when in the past it has led me to tears and so much fear.”
Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected.
People received care from staff who were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights, and of the importance of privacy and confidentiality.
Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles, and their wellbeing was supported.
