Governance, management and sustainability
At the inspection on 5 November 2025, we found the practice had made the following improvements to comply with Regulation 17 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014:
All emergency equipment and medicines were available, and these were being checked in accordance with national guidance.
An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) had been completed and the condition was recorded as satisfactory.
A fire risk assessment had been carried out and all actions completed. The fire alarm was now being tested and serviced on a regular basis, and emergency lighting had been fitted.
Risk assessments to minimise the risk that could be caused from substances that are hazardous to health and data safety sheets had been completed and included all necessary substances.
All staff members had a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate of the correct level. All clinical staff had evidence of immunity to Hepatitis B.
The practice had a process in place to ensure staff training was up to date and reviewed at the required intervals. We saw that all staff had completed training in basic life support. Improvements were still required to ensure that staff had completed safeguarding training. The practice told us that this would be completed.
Improvements had been made to the infection prevention and control (IPC) process. The water being used was temperature and volume checked. We were told that the IPC audit was being carried out on a regular basis according to guidance. Cleaning schedules were now being completed.
Clinical records were now being stored securely.
