During a routine inspection

People using the service and their relatives we talked with spoke very highly of the care they received. They told us their care workers were reliable, punctual and conscientious. One person said; 'the carers are very nice and good. I like their service. I love it!' Relatives told us that care workers treated people like members of their own families.

People said staff were competent and good at their jobs. One person said; 'the carers do everything perfectly'.

People using the service and their relatives said they received visits and telephone calls from their care workers' supervisors to ensure that the service they received was of good quality. They told us they had never had reason to complain about the service they received.

Relatives told us care workers kept good records, so that they were kept informed of the care people received. People said that they trusted staff to look after their personal and confidential information properly. One person said: 'they take nothing away and they don't discuss people's business'.

During a routine inspection

Somali Carers Project put us in touch with a number of people who used the service. The people we spoke with in telephone interviews on 6 and 7 February 2012 told us that they received good care and that they liked and got on well with their care workers, who had been with them for some time. They told us that the care workers were punctual and helpful, did their work well, and that they looked after people's money properly when they did the shopping.
