During a routine inspection

Prior to our inspection we reviewed all the information we had received from the provider. During the inspection we spoke with three people who used the service and two relatives and asked them for their views. We also spoke with various staff including three care workers, a team leader, two care coordinators, two training officers, a development manager and the registered manager. We also looked at some of the records held in the service including the care files for four people.

We found people gave consent to their care and treatment and received care and support that met their needs. A person told us, 'I went through the care plan with the coordinator. I feel it shows what I need.'

We found people were safeguarded from abuse. A person told us, 'I feel quite safe. They wear a uniform and have a name badge.'

We found the staff team were supported through training. People who used the service said they thought care workers were well trained in their work. One person said, 'They know what they are doing, they are well trained.'

We found the provider assessed and monitored the quality of the service. A relative told us, 'If I have got anything I want to discuss I just ring the office and speak to someone.'
