Our view of the service
Date of assessment 27 October 2025 to 6 November 2025. Bletchley House is a care home with nursing care. The service provides support to older people with a physical disability and people living with dementia. The environment was safe. People were supported to understand and manage risks. Medicines were managed safely, and people’s health was monitored. The provider worked in line with the Mental Capacity Act 2005. People were safeguarded from the risk of abuse and staff felt free to speak up. The provider made it easy for people to provide feedback. However, people were not always at the centre of their care and treatment. Where people remained in their rooms, we found activities and engagement opportunities were limited. There was a lack of focus on peoples lived experience in the service.
People's experience of this service
People and relatives told us they were involved in care planning and would feel confident to raise any concerns with the management. People told us staff were kind, however, sometimes they didn’t feel there were enough staff around. We observed some interactions between staff and people were not always positive.
