At our last assessment we rated this key question good. At this assessment the rating has remained good. This meant people were supported and treated with dignity and respect; and involved as partners in their care.

The provider promoted people’s independence, so people knew their rights and had choice and control over their own care, treatment and wellbeing.

Relatives said staff supported their family member to be as independent as possible, with a relative saying, “Independence is encouraged with decreased mobility.” People’s care plans provided staff with guidance on what aspects of their care a person could undertake themselves and where they needed the support of staff. Relatives told us they and their family member had been involved in making decisions about the care provided.
