Kindness, compassion and dignity
The service treated people with kindness, empathy and compassion and respected their privacy and dignity. Staff treated colleagues from other organisations with kindness and respect.
The service had arrangements to promote people’s privacy. For example, a private room for mothers to breast feed or if a patient required a private conversation. The results of the 2026 National GP Patient Survey showed the service was comparable with the national average relating to caring. This showed people felt listened to and were treated with kindness. For example, 85% of respondents to the survey felt the healthcare professional was good at listening to them, this was comparable with the national average of 87%. The survey results showed that 84% of respondents felt the healthcare professional at their last appointment was good at treating them with care and concern, this was comparable with the national average of 86%. These findings were mirrored in feedback from the comments the practice had collected through the Friends and Family Test. Most of the comments were overwhelmingly positive about the care provided by the practice. People used words such as polite, efficient, friendly, kind, sympathetic and professional to describe the care provided. They stated the service was first class and a superb service from lovely people.
