Overview

Inspection carried out on 5 December 2012

During a routine inspection

We spoke with one person who uses the service and with staff members. People said that they felt safe and well looked after. People said that they could talk to staff about any problems and that staff would listen and act. People said that the staff were kind and caring. Staffing was planned around individual needs and activities. People said �It is quiet here and the staff are nice.�

People took part in a range of community based activities that they enjoyed, including clubs, discos and Further Education College. People had support to take part in the cooking and cleaning, had the opportunity to go food shopping and were fully included in the running of the home.

People�s health needs were supported and the service worked closely with health and social care professionals to maintain and improve people�s health and well being. People said that they had support to attend doctors, optician and dental appointments.
