Our view of the service

The assessment was conducted remotely between 20 July to 5 August 2026.

Holderness home care limited is a domiciliary care agency registered to provide personal care to people in their own homes. This inspection was due to the time since we last inspected the service.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) only inspects services where personal care is provided this includes assistance with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where applicable, any wider social care provided is also considered. At the time of assessment, the service was supporting 26 people.

People were protected from abuse, neglect and avoidable harm through safeguarding arrangements, detailed risk assessments and a workforce that understood its responsibilities. People consistently reported feeling safe when receiving support, including assistance with mobility and personal care. Staffing arrangements were reliable, with people and relatives confirming that care visits were delivered consistently and by staff who were familiar with their needs.

Care plans were detailed, regularly reviewed and reflected individual preferences, routines and desired outcomes. Assessments considered people's physical health, personal care needs, mobility, nutrition, hydration and wider wellbeing. The service worked effectively alongside external professionals to ensure people received coordinated and responsive support when needs changed.

Daily records evidenced ongoing monitoring of people's wellbeing, and care plans were updated when changes in need were identified.

Leadership and governance arrangements were well established. The Registered Manager maintained oversight through audits, spot checks, training compliance monitoring, supervision, safeguarding reviews and complaints monitoring. Quality assurance systems were used to identify learning opportunities and drive continuous improvement. Survey results, compliments and feedback received from people, relatives and staff were positive and provided assurance that people were receiving good care.
