Our view of the service
Date of assessment 23 July 2026 to 1st September 2026.
At the time of our assessment, the service was providing the regulated activity of personal care to 8 people living in supported living accommodation. Supported living enables people to live in their own homes while receiving care and support tailored to their individual needs. People included older people, people with learning disabilities, autistic people, people living with physical disabilities, sensory impairments and long-term health conditions.
The service worked in line with the principles of Right Support, Right Care, Right Culture. People were encouraged to have choice and control over their lives and were supported in the least restrictive way possible. People's rights, preferences and individuality were respected and support was focused on achieving outcomes important to them.
Staff understood people's needs, risks and preferences and were supported through training, supervision and regular management oversight. Care plans, risk assessments and medicines systems helped ensure care remained safe and responsive. The provider worked collaboratively with healthcare professionals and had systems to monitor quality, manage risks and drive improvement.
Feedback about leadership was positive. Staff described managers as approachable and supportive and people and relatives were given opportunities to share their views. Overall, people received safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led care from a service that promoted inclusion, choice, dignity and independence.

People, relatives, staff and professionals spoke positively about the service. People told us they felt safe and were supported by kind, caring and reliable staff who treated them with dignity and respect. One person described staff as "nice people" who were "very friendly" and said, "I am happy. I feel safe." Staff supported people to maintain their independence, make choices about their care and access opportunities within their local communities. Relatives told us staff knew people well and responded appropriately to changes in their needs.
Feedback from relatives was consistently positive. One relative told us their family member "100% feels safe" with staff and valued the consistency provided by a regular group of staff, which was particularly important given their daughter's complex needs and experiences of distress. Another relative described staff as "brilliant" and "very caring" and said their daughter appeared happy and settled in her supported living placement. They explained familiar staff and consistent routines helped provide reassurance and stability.
Relatives spoke positively about the way staff communicated with people. One relative told us although aperson chose not to communicate verbally, staff continued to speak with them, explain what they were doing and offer opportunities to participate in activities and decisions about their day. They said staff adapted their communication and approach according to the person’s mood and presentation.
Another relative said staff had created "a family home" for their relative and praised their commitment to supporting participation in family life and important events. Relatives also highlighted communication as a particular strength of the service. One described the online reporting system as "really good" because it helped them stay informed about their family member's support. They also valued regular review meetings involving managers and healthcare professionals, which provided opportunities to discuss care and suggest improvements.
