During a routine inspection

We found Diamond Care Services ensured people who used the service were provided with appropriate information. A home visit to assess and discuss people's needs, expectations and wishes was arranged prior to the service commencing. We were told a care record is kept in each persons home.

We saw written feedback from some people who used the service their comments included:

'The standard of care is very good'.

'Staff always arrive on time'.

'Good continuity of care'.

Added comments included: 'Very happy with the care and flexibility which accommodates my changing needs'.

One member of staff spoken with told us, 'Everything is fine, I have no concerns'.

People we spoke with told us. 'I am very happy with the care I receive. The staff are very obliging and flexible'.

Another person said, 'All the staff are polite, respectful, supportive and cheerful'.

One relative told us, 'The service is excellent, we are delighted. The care plan is updated and they are always available to discuss any suggestions. They are a first class team and I would happily recommend them'.

During a routine inspection

We spoke with three relatives who acted of people who used the service. One person told us,

'The staff have a lovely attitude'.

Another said, 'We were offered a choice of a male or female carer'.

Another person said, 'The staff ensure privacy and dignity is always respected'.

People we spoke with were complimentary about the agency and the carers who visited them. We were told, 'The service is top class. The carers are never late and have never missed a visit'.

Another said, 'We had a sit down and a long talk prior to the service commencing. We were 100% involved in the care and treatment planning'.

We asked people would if they felt safe and well treated by staff. We were told, 'We trust the agency totally. If we had any concerns I would not hesitate in approaching the management'.

We spoke with people about how they thought the service was managed. They told us:

'Customer service is second to none'.

Another said, 'This is an excellent service, the communication between people and staff is brilliant'.
