During a routine inspection

The people who used the service told us the staff were professional and friendly and they were fully informed about their treatments. One person told us, 'The staff at the clinic are really very helpful and very good. My doctor explained everything to me very well and I had plenty of time to ask questions. He was excellent.'

An assessment of people's health and medical history was completed prior to treatment. This meant people's care and treatment was planned and delivered in a way that ensured their safety and welfare.

People who used the service said they were satisfied with the care and treatment they received. One person said, 'I was extremely happy with the whole service, it was very efficient. My doctor was excellent as were the reception staff and nurses.'

There were effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection.

The people we spoke with said they received a very efficient service. When asked how would they would rate the service they received, one person said 'excellent', another said 'extremely good'. One person said, 'The service was really excellent. I would recommend this clinic to anyone. I wasn't able to use the stairs, but they had a lift which was good. I was called into the clinic about three minutes after I arrived so no waiting time at all. I was very happy with everything.'

A complaint procedure was available to the people who used the service so they knew what to do if they were unhappy with the treatment they received.

During a routine inspection

The people who used the service told us they were happy with the standard of the service provided. They confirmed they had been given detailed information about their treatment and had opportunity to ask questions about the procedure being undertaken. None of the people we spoke with had any concerns to raise. Some of their comments included:

'I was asked to give my consent straight away and signed a form to confirm this. I was very happy for the procedure to go ahead, no problems at all.'

'The staff were all very nice. The consultant explained everything very clearly so I knew what was happening.'

'The staff were lovely and I was very happy with everything. I had the opportunity to ask questions about the procedure which was good as I was very nervous.'

'Everything went very well. The appointment was prompt and I was not kept waiting when I arrived at the clinic. After the procedure was completed, I had an appointment to see the nurse straight away.'
