Our view of the service
Date of assessment: Onsite assessment commenced 29 April 2026.
Elite Care 24/7 is a domiciliary care agency providing support to people in their own homes.
At the time of the assessment there were 37 people using the service who were in receipt of the regulated activity.
We gave the provider 24 hours’ notice of our intention to visit because we wanted to make sure someone would be at the office who could answer our questions during the inspection.
The onsite inspection took place on 29 and 30 April 2026 to review the quality of care and compliance with legal regulations. We continued gathering feedback from people and their relatives, staff and other professionals.
At the last inspection, the service was rated Requires Improvement. This was because we found the provider needed to make improvements to quality assurance and risk management. We have not identified significant improvements in these areas and at this inspection the service remains rated Requires improvement.
People received compassionate and reliable care from regular staff who knew them well and understood their individual needs and preferences. People and relatives spoke positively about the support provided and most people told us they felt involved in decisions about their care.
The service had effective arrangements to ensure visits were delivered on time, staff felt supported, and people received continuity of care. Staff described management as approachable and responsive, and the provider had invested in new systems to improve quality and oversight.
However, improvements were needed to care planning, risk management, safeguarding oversight and record keeping. Governance systems had not always identified these issues, meaning opportunities to learn and improve were sometimes missed. This had been identified at the previous inspection.
The provider recognised these areas for development and had begun implementing a new electronic care management system and enhanced quality assurance processes. The registered manager was receptive to feedback and took action to address concerns identified during the inspection.
People's experience of this service
People told us they were happy with the care and support they received.
People we spoke with told us staff knew them well and understood their individual needs, preferences and routines. They were involved in decisions about how and when they received support, and where possible were matched with staff who reflected their preferences, helping to build positive and trusting relationships.
A person said “I rely on the carers to help me; I look forward to seeing them. Sometimes they stay a little bit longer and have a chat. They are like my family.”
People told us they received care from a reliable service. Visits were delivered on time and there had been no missed calls. People told us they received the support they needed and felt comfortable raising day-to-day concerns with care staff, who they described positively.
Relatives also spoke highly of staff and told us they were kept informed about changes and concerns affecting their family members.
People told us they did not always have contact with the registered manager but knew who the management team were.
Whist people expressed general satisfaction with their care and treatment, our assessment found some elements of care did not meet the expected standards.
