Our view of the service

Date of inspection: 29 June 2026 to 13 July 2026

Ashley Drive is a residential care service providing accommodation and personal care to 6 adults with learning disabilities and physical disabilities. At the time of our inspection, 6 people were using the service.

We carried out an inspection in response to concerns received about the service. The provider had made improvements to strengthen the quality and safety of the service and had addressed the concerns raised. We did not find any concerns about people’s safety at this inspection. The last rating for the service was Good. At this inspection the service has remained Good.

We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed autistic people and people with a learning disability respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities which most people take for granted. People received support in accordance with this guidance.

The provider safeguarded people and worked with professionals to ensure they received safe care. The environment, facilities and equipment were clean, free from malodours and servicing was completed on a regular basis. Accidents and incidents were routinely investigated with lessons learnt discussed with staff teams.

Recruitment was managed appropriately, and staff completed mandatory training in line with good practice guidance.

People’s needs were assessed and reviewed with their relatives and professionals involved in their care. People’s care plans contained person-centred information about their preferences, and how they wished to receive care.

People were able to access care in a timely, equitable way, with their changing needs communicated to professionals where necessary.

The new management team had implemented strengthened governance processes to ensure people received, safe, responsive, effective care.
